Tiny Splendor 10th Anniversary Exhibit

Opening Thursday October 20th at 7pm PST On Display until Sunday October 23rd 2022

Come out to Heavy Manners Library for our opening party Thursday, Oct 20th at 7pm. The show will run through the weekend with an artist talk / Q&A Sunday, Oct 23rd at 5pm

We are celebrating 10 years of independent publishing and printmaking with a show of work and publications rarely seen from our archive. From early drawings that inspired our first zines to prints representing artists from around the world. There will also be a display of current prints and publications for sale.

Tiny Splendor was founded in 2012 by Cynthia T. Navarro, Kenneth Srivijittakar, Max Stadnik & Sanaa Khan. We started by having drawing parties on huge rolls of paper in our small apartment which we turned into our first zines. With a tiny traveling gallery full of tiny self-published art, we worked our way up to getting a Risograph printer. We were soon churning out huge volumes of prints at incredibly low costs and high speeds, applying our traditional printmaking backgrounds to this unique printing method.

To date, Tiny Splendor has published over 100 zine titles and many more prints. What started as an obsession with ink on paper has transformed into a desire to establish accessibility to the arts and freedom of the press.
